#TirgearrTuesday #WritingTips for How to Write a #ReunionStory

Are you writing a reunion romance? Please allow me to share some ideas.

In any reunion story the hero and heroine who have been separated for some time are brought together again. As a writer you’ll allude to their shared past which ended on a sour note.  Once they’re reunited, they discover time apart hasn’t made their relationship any sweeter. The appeal to the reader is how your hero and heroine make things better.
Give them a chance to see loss made right.  In my upcoming release, Bittersweet Alliance, duties intruded.  In yours, perhaps the weight of job or family or education pulled them apart.
My heroine is afraid to open up and share her hurt. The hero understands why she’s a diva and testing his love. The fun is in seeing how two people can fall in love a second time. It is lightning striking twice, rare and wonderful.  These are love stories of hope, of redemption, of finding the courage to risk, to try, to want even in the face of insurmountable odds, and, ultimately, of fate giving people the chance to go for it. A second-chance reunion love story can fill every one of those needs. What’s happily-ever-after is than that?
Bittersweet Alliance is the third book in the Irish-American Donahue Cousins series from Tirgearr Publishing. Books in this series are stand-alone and fall into the romantic suspense category.  In Bittersweet Alliance the hero and heroine come together after meeting in a former book, Unholy Alliance
