#Tirgearr Publishing new #BookReview for #NewRelease Bittersweet Alliance

Reviews are valuable, and reviewers are not paid to spend their precious time reading and leaving a review. What a generous service! Special thanks to D.W. Peach for reviewing Bittersweet Alliance.

Ex-lovers Jolene and Danker team up to solve a series of racially motivated kidnappings and murders in Hawaii. Their attraction is instantaneous and irresistible, but Jolene attempts to guard her heart, knowing their renewed alliance is temporary. Then the villains set their sights on Jolene.

The book is well-balanced with three-quarters suspenseful action and one-quarter romance including plenty of steamy sex. Both are well done. While romantic tropes are firmly in place, the action-based plot is fresh and keeps the story moving at a fast clip with some unexpected turns and plenty of danger. There are several murders but the story isn’t high on gore.

This is a quick read of about 160 pages. The Hawaiian setting is enhanced by cultural details, and Jolene and Danker are believable characters with unique backstories and rich emotional lives. The villains are quite dastardly and creative in their crimes. Highly recommended for readers of romantic suspense novels.
