Dutiful Alliance, the
working title for book four in my Donahue Cousins series, is a "secret baby" romantic
suspense.
Have you considered writing a “secret baby” romance? In my
work-in-progress I’m combining the secret baby story with a suspense. The
biological father, the sheriff, is called in when the baby is kidnapped. The secret baby scenario comes with its own
built-in emotional angst and conflict. This makes the “secret baby” trope incredibly
popular, emotionally powerful and predictable, but only in the best possible
way.
This added layer pushes my hero and heroine apart and then pulls
them together with the unbreakable bond of a shared child. As they work
together to locate the child, the story focuses on a couple falling in love and
overcoming an unforgivable betrayal based on problems of trust.
I’m looking for suggestions for a preschool name where my heroine is a director. The location is ranch country in Riverside, California. Suggestions so far from readers are Saddleback Preschool and Lapping Waters Preschool. Please comment below if you have a suggestion!
